What worked: 10 of the best things I did for my business in 2019

Overall, 2019 was a good year for me as I was able to pull into my strengths and figure out what needed more focus and what I needed to pull back from.

Although not necessarily my highest earning year, I gained traction in setting up my business with a sustainable strategy for consistency in revenue, being mindful about the number of work hours I put into the business on a weekly basis.

To wrap up the year, I’m delighted to share the top ten things I did in 2019 that actually worked in moving me closer to achieving my business goals. I'll share my 2019 goals and then open up the top ten strategies that helped me achieve those goals. Some of them were expected while others were totally unexpected and unplanned, but they worked in perfect harmony to move my business forward.

Here’s my list of top 10 things that made the year fulfilling and ended with much more clarity and focus than I had at the beginning:

  1. Got a tangible skill - Facebook ads
  2. Focused on relationships
  3. Got on Voxer
  4. Did a professional photoshoot
  5. Refined my one thing - offer & superpower
  6. Listened to my personality preferences
    • Backed off the social media
    • Focused on higher-value networks
    • Attended conferences
  7. Rebranded to Scaling Deep
  8. Began taking on Facebook ads clients
  9. Launched a podcast
  10. Hired all the help I needed for the podcast

I hope this episode inspires you to take stock of your year as well - identifying what needs more focus and what needs to go.

I encourage you to take some time to reflect and write down the top ten things that worked for you and your business this year. This will help a great deal in planning for next year and set you on a path to make 2020 even a better year!

Hey there. I know what it's like to try and fail over and over again. I've been through all the mindset ups and downs, feeling like a failure and wondering why it's so hard to attract amazing clients consistently.

I finally realized, more recently that I'd like to admit, I was still hiding. I was afraid to put my work into the world in case no one wanted it. What I really wanted was for someone to say, "hey you, your stuff is great, come share it with my audience".  Finally I realized that that would never happen, not until I started first.

Putting out my content and message into the world had to begin with me. I  committed to showing up consistently and building my own meaningful relationships. The result? Much more clarity about how to gain visibility and grow my brand. And, of course, THIS PODCAST which I'm thrilled to host!
