How much is enough in the quest for success with Chris Bello

As you begin to establish your business, it’s only natural to want to make it as successful as possible. And if you’re lucky, and it starts to gain traction, you’ll hopefully start to see some serious money coming your way. So far so good, right?

But the trouble with this is, the longer it goes on, it can get harder to get off the treadmill. And this is when the hustle culture can kick in and you get stuck in a growth for growth’s sake cycle.

My guest today is Chris Bello. Chris began his career in oil and gas but never felt comfortable with being micromanaged. So he decided to launch himself as a realtor, using his Entrepreneur Motivation Podcast to track his journey. He has now achieved the rare distinction of being a realtor whose business success is entirely independent of his location and which fits around the life he wants to lead.

In this conversation, Chris and I go deep on hustle culture, superficial goals, and negotiating different models of success to reconnect with what’s important to you.

What You’ll Learn From This Episode:

  • Chris’ early work experiences and what pushed him into becoming a digital nomad and a non-location-specific realtor.
  • The magical income number where, if you go past it, your happiness will not increase.
  • Why Chris learned to be happy with what he has and to stop chasing after meaningless goals.
  • How his podcast, which began as a way to track his journey, has since become the ultimate way for him to tap into the people he admires on a variety of topics.
  • How Chris uses journaling to build a life that he loves and to get around being blocked in his vision.

Hey there. I know what it's like to try and fail over and over again. I've been through all the mindset ups and downs, feeling like a failure and wondering why it's so hard to attract amazing clients consistently.

I finally realized, more recently that I'd like to admit, I was still hiding. I was afraid to put my work into the world in case no one wanted it. What I really wanted was for someone to say, "hey you, your stuff is great, come share it with my audience".  Finally I realized that that would never happen, not until I started first.

Putting out my content and message into the world had to begin with me. I  committed to showing up consistently and building my own meaningful relationships. The result? Much more clarity about how to gain visibility and grow my brand. And, of course, THIS PODCAST which I'm thrilled to host!
