How I moved to a productized business model and why you should too

Because the start of a New Year is about planning, today I focus on something which I’ve mentioned before - the benefits of moving your business into one that offers productized services. Having something concrete and defined to sell can really help you move from being a freelancer or a generalist to a business owner, creating packages based on outcomes rather than periods of time worked.

This is something that I’ve done over time with my own coaching strategy business and the clarity it has given me has created a platform where I can go deeper and sell more to more people. Having a defined offer to communicate also makes marketing easier and increases my visibility.

In today’s episode, I not only tell you the five reasons you should transition into a productized service business but I also tell you how to do it!

What You’ll Learn From This Episode:

  • What is a productized service business?
  • The 5 reasons why you should package up and productize your unique services.
  • How to do it.
  • How and why I did it.
  • The revenue and marketing benefits of changing to a productized business model.
  • Examples of how other business owners are making it work.
  • The benefits of starting with a hybrid business model in order to develop relationships.

One example of developing a product in my own business is my upcoming Profitable Membership Summit! Hey there. I know what it's like to try and fail over and over again. I've been through all the mindset ups and downs, feeling like a failure and wondering why it's so hard to attract amazing clients consistently.

I finally realized, more recently that I'd like to admit, I was still hiding. I was afraid to put my work into the world in case no one wanted it. What I really wanted was for someone to say, "hey you, your stuff is great, come share it with my audience".  Finally I realized that that would never happen, not until I started first.

Putting out my content and message into the world had to begin with me. I  committed to showing up consistently and building my own meaningful relationships. The result? Much more clarity about how to gain visibility and grow my brand. And, of course, THIS PODCAST which I'm thrilled to host!
