Developing a content strategy to support your message & business with Deb Coman
What’s your content strategy, if you have one at all? Many business owners are trying to figure out how to create content that feels authentic to their values, genuinely connects with & serves their audience, and drives results. It’s a tall order. To do it, you need a strategy - but you don’t want to feel scripted or disingenuous. For our first interview of Deep Messaging month, I wanted to talk to someone who is great at marrying the strategy of a good content plan with the authenticity of showing up as yourself.
Deb Coman is a content conversion strategist, copywriter, speaker and author. She works with service-based business owners to get clear on their messaging, use strategy to reach more of the people they’re meant to serve and convert them to buyers using great content.
Deb shares excellent advice about why so many people are inconsistent with their content and how to show up in a way that’s aligned and consistent. We talk about the need for clarifying your core messages before you do anything else and why this is one of the best ways to support your overall business. Deb also highlights why it’s so important to drop back into your core intentions for sharing content whenever you’re creating something new.
We also discuss how you can be strategic with your content without sounding scripted and why you need to show up as yourself - not who you think you should be. And we touch on why it’s so effective and important to be of service to your audience, whether they buy from you immediately or not.
